ANGE & TOM’S EPIC wedding at The BOND DIGBETH – COLOUR, CONFETTI & PURE PARTY CHAOS
If you think weddings should be full of colour, packed with personality, and feel more like the best party of your life rather than a formal event where everyone politely eats chicken… Ange and Tom’s wedding at The Bond in Digbeth was exactly that.
This wedding had everything. Emotional moments. Incredible music. Non-stop dancing. Confetti flying everywhere. A brass band. Bongo Bingo. Tambourines. And honestly? The kind of energy that made it impossible not to grin all day.
As a Birmingham wedding photographer, these are the weddings I absolutely love to capture — fun, vibrant celebrations where couples throw tradition out the window and create a day that feels completely them.
And Ange and Tom? They absolutely smashed it.
A BEAUTIFUL CATHOLIC CEREMONY AT HOLY TRINITY CHURCH IN SUTTON COLDFIELD
The day started with a beautiful Catholic ceremony in Sutton Coldfield, and from the very beginning it was clear this wasn’t going to be your average wedding day.
There was emotion from the moment guests arrived, but one of the most special parts of the ceremony had to be the music.
Ange’s mom and sister sang during the ceremony alongside a gospel choir, and wow… there wasn’t a dry eye in sight.
It was powerful, emotional and incredibly moving. The kind of moment that hits everyone right in the feels.
One minute people were wiping tears away, the next they were smiling from ear to ear. Basically, the perfect start to an unforgettable wedding day.
THE PARTY STARTS AT THE BOND IN DIGBETH
After the ceremony, everyone made their way to The Bond in Digbeth — and this is where things really kicked up a gear.
If you’re planning a Digbeth wedding, The Bond is such an incredible venue. It has that perfect mix of industrial character and stylish city vibes, right in the heart of Birmingham.
It’s ideal for couples wanting something modern, relaxed and full of personality.
And for Ange and Tom? It was the perfect setting. The guests arrived first and lined up ready to welcome the newlyweds.
But Ange and Tom weren’t about to make a quiet entrance. Not even slightly.
THE MOST ICONIC ENTRANCE EVER!
Instead of simply walking into their reception like normal people, Ange and Tom arrived with a full brass band. Yes. A brass band.
The band followed them as they danced their way through a huge confetti line, surrounded by cheering guests, music blasting, and pure chaos in the best possible way.
Then, just when everyone thought it couldn’t get any better…
Ange and Tom grabbed confetti cannons and blasted them over all of their guests.
Absolute scenes. Honestly, if every wedding entrance involved a brass band and flying confetti, I would not complain.
SUNSHINE, DRINKS & NON-STOP DANCING IN DIGBETH
The energy somehow didn’t stop there.
The brass band carried on playing throughout the drinks reception in the sunshine, and instead of guests politely sipping drinks and discussing the weather…
Everyone danced.
It felt more like a festival than a wedding drinks reception, and I mean that as the highest compliment possible.
There was music, laughter, sunshine and incredible energy everywhere you looked.
This is exactly why I love photographing Birmingham weddings like this — when couples fully embrace fun and create an atmosphere where everyone can just let loose.
A COLOURFUL DREAM WEDDING AT THE BOND DIGBETH
The styling at this The Bond wedding was unreal.
Colour everywhere. Beautiful details everywhere. Fun everywhere.
Basically my dream.
The decor was bold, vibrant and packed with personality. Bunting cascaded from the ceiling, filling the space with colour and energy.
And one of the best details? Every guest had their own personalised tambourine. Which, if you’re planning a party wedding, is genius.
10/10.
AMAZING FOOD FROM BAKED IN BRICK
When it was time to eat, guests sat down to enjoy incredible food from Baked in Brick.
If you know Digbeth, you’ll know this place already has a bit of legendary status — and it absolutely delivered. Amazing food, relaxed vibes and very happy guests.
Exactly what you want.
Then came the speeches.
And wow.
SPEECHES, TEARS & BONGO BINGO CHAOS AT THE BOND, DIGBETH
The speeches had everything.
Laughter. Tears. Embarrassing stories. Even more tears.
Basically a perfect wedding speech lineup.
There were emotional moments that had guests wiping away tears, followed immediately by stories that had everyone crying with laughter.
Then, because this wedding refused to be anything less than iconic, it was time for Bongo Bingo.
And if you’ve ever experienced Bongo Bingo, you’ll know this is where things became wonderfully chaotic.
The energy went through the roof.
EPIC COUPLE PORTRAITS AROUND DIGBETH
After all the madness, we snuck out for a little wander around Digbeth to capture some portraits.
One of the best things about shooting a Digbeth wedding is having such amazing backdrops right on your doorstep.
Street art.
Industrial textures.
Urban city vibes.
Bold colours.
It’s basically a dream location for stylish, relaxed couple portraits.
Ange and Tom were so much fun to photograph. Relaxed, playful and completely up for embracing the city surroundings.
The result was a set of portraits that felt effortlessly cool while still full of personality.
KICKSTARTING THE PARTY FOR THIS DIGBETH WEDDING
When we returned to The Bond, it was time to officially kick off the evening party.
Ange and Tom took to the dancefloor for their first dance, surrounded by all of their favourite people.
And from that point onwards?
Pure party.
Exactly how this wedding deserved to end.
