Bunston Wedding

Hello world!

Burton-upon Trent Wedding photographer

I was doing so well with my blogs then BOOOOM summer came, which only means one thing, wedding season! I am currently in my busiest summer yet and boy is it busy! I mean brain frazzle, what am I doing busy! But i'm loving every moment of this! So enough of the usual 'sorry, here's the reason why my blog is a little late' and let me tell you about the Bunston Wedding!

I met Ellie and John at a wedding fair hosted by Edward Lewis Wedding at the lovely Dovecliff Hall in Burton Upon Trent. Having shot a wedding here before I knew it well and definitely wanted to take part in the fair! Ellie and John were lovely right from the beginning, so friendly and smiley, I knew we'd get on! And then they booked me... YAY!

Ellie and John's wedding was an intimate day. timelessly styled vintage/ shabby chic that suited Ellie & John so well. The venue and the styling worked hand in hand and looked gorgeous on a summers day! Of course, I brought the weather with me and it really made the day that extra bit special.

Ellie was cool as a cucumber. I'd like to say the same about John, but he was bursting with emotion and excitement to marry his gal! Ellie rocked up to Dove Cliff Hall with her hair all ready and it looked fabulous (of course she did when her hair style was inspired by one of my past brides). Whilst getting ready, the bridesmaids surprised Ellie with a scrap book they made of photos from her Hen Do, this was such a lovely idea, well done ladies! I was so lucky to have been able to photograph John getting ready too as he was at the venue too. I love capturing these moments too, also I feel like most groomsmen actually need me there to help with the button holes!

Ellie looked a summers dream in her dress! It was beautiful, a fitted lace top (look at the lace detail, soooo cute) and a lovely floaty skirt that looked amazing when the breeze which catch it! John was wearing a diaper brown tweed, have I mentioned I love tweed at a wedding!

The moment arrived, John was eagerly waiting for his bride! As soon as he saw her he the emotion got him and a little tear came to his eye! This was the most emotionally bride appearance I've had the joy to photograph, not going to lie, it made me cry a little too (I blame my old age).

After the ceremony the guests all chilled outside in the sun! The weather was perfect and who doesn't like a cheeky gin in the sun! After the ceremony I always like to give my couple time to hang out with their guests, you've just got married, thats massive, so be excited about it with all the people you love! These are the moments you capture the best emotion of the day too as everyone can't wait to see the bride and groom.

The couple shots were hands down AMAZING! We were so lucky to have had the blooming gardens for the setting of the photos. There was so much colour, as you probably know and can tell, I love colour in my photos! Ellie and John rocked it, with only a little guidance and a lot of fun, we captured some beautiful, fun, romantic and just Ellie and John being themselves which is everything I want to achieve in these photos.

Ellie and John's sit down meal was an afternoon tea, this was perfect for a hot summers day! The speeches were fun, dad did well embarrassing his daughter along with showing how proud he was of her and John. John was filled with emotion and managed a short speech, everyone already knew how grateful he was for them sharing such a special day. John's best man did a great job bringing the laughter to the room!

The day was beautiful and I as so happy to have been the one to capture the lovely moments of Mr & Mrs Bunston's day!

So enough of me typing away. Here's Ellie and John's summer wedding in Burton Upon Trent.
