Tom & Gemma's autumn wedding

As if we are nearly a whole month into 2019 already!
Today's blog is all about the cutest couple I have had the pleasure of capturing beautiful memories for, Gemma & Tom.
We met back in 2016 at a wedding fair at their wedding venue, The School House in Weeford.
This was back when I was still finding my style and the way I showcased my work was very questionable!
Gemma, Tom and I bonded over our love of animals! I think we spoke more about our cats than we did their wedding photography! It doesn't take much for me to talk about my fur babies... literally I am trying to let my 15 year old cat cradle him... I don't have issues, honestly!
Gemma and Tom had a beautiful October wedding at The School House in Weeford. This country pub/ marquee wedding venue is set in a gorgeous little village in between Lichfield and Tamworth.
Gemma was so chilled the morning of their wedding day. Surrounded by her friends, parents and the family kitty! The rain was coming down, but Gemma wasn't phased and this is how every couple should be if theres a little rain on your wedding day. Every wedding I photograph I always have moments when I'm not the wedding photographer, I become the hair stylist, the event coordinator... this case I chipped in to help the bride into her amazing dress! I literally had to climb in with her, it was so cosy!
The ceremony was short and sweet, just like Gemma & Tom.
We did a quick group shot after the ceremony due to the rain. Again people, don't fear the rain! I spoke with the venue coordinator for the day and found we had time later in the afternoon to do more of the group shots, which tied into the weather forecast.
I managed to get some really cute photos of Gemma & Tom under the brolly. Using an umbrella means that you naturally get close together and create a candid shot. See, rain is not our enemy!
When we came back to the wedding guests, boy was the party getting started. After speeches and food, everyone was raring to get on that dance floor. I love to see a good party at a wedding! Everyone filled the dance floor and was having the time of their lives! These are some of my fave shots at a wedding, when everyone lets loose!
It was an honour photographing Gemma & Tom's wedding day! Oh I forgot to mention Tom is a very talented jeweller that I'll be having the pleasure of exhibiting with at Tying The Nott wedding fair on 3rd March at Nottingham Highschool. So come say hi :)
So enough of me chatting away, here's their beautiful wedding day!
