A Charitable Tipi Wedding
Hey, I'm Steph, a little Birmingham wedding photographer. My fun wedding photography style will capture all the real moments of your wedding day.
Today's blog will definitely make you miss summer, sorry!
Jacob & Rachel found me on a wedding website called Wedding Wire. When we first met up to chat all things wedding we hit it off. Rachel and I are both kindred spirits... I mean crazy cat ladies! Sharing a love for craft beer and Digbeth Dining Club, we knew we were a fit!
For their pre wedding shoot we wondered around our favourite spot, Digbeth. Digbeth engagement shoots are the best!!! We had a right giggle wondering around and ending with a cheeky ale! They even got to meet Andrew (mainly because we were chatting away I didn't realise I was running late to go get food with him).
Jacob & Rachel chose to have a super chilled tipi wedding in Solihull. The morning of the wedding, Jacob & Rachel took their brother and sister to the registry office to witness the legal part of their wedding day. They kept this legal part small as they wanted to celebrate with their family & friends at their wedding venue. This gave Rachel the chance to have two wedding dresses, what girl doesn't want to wear two wedding dresses!!!
Jacob and Rachel chose Newlands Bishop Farm for their wedding. This Birmingham wedding venue is amazing... no exaggeration, AMAZING! Not only do they have a cute tipi in a field, with an outdoor bar, pizza oven and fire pit, it's a charity! Yep you heard. The money couples pay to have their wedding there goes to the amazing work this charity does! Can you think of anything better than your wedding being a charitable donation?!?
The day started drizzly and grey, but as the afternoon came, the rain stopped and you could see the sun trying to make an appearance. This didn't affect Jacob and Rachel enjoying every moment of their wedding day!
Every part of Jacob and Rachel's wedding day was relaxed. There was no sit down three course meal. Instead they chose a hog roast and gorgeous salad and nibbles to accompany. The wedding cake was baked by one of Rachel's very talented sisters. The music was their perfect playlist, knowing what would get their friends and family up on the dance floor. The evening food was a show stopper... the biggest Domino's pizza order you have ever seen! I have to admit, I enjoyed a nibble of this! haha
Jacob and Rachel's relaxed wedding really does show you that you don't have to follow tradition if that's not you. If you want a relaxed tipi wedding where you can party with your friends, then do it!
