Nuthurst Grange Country House & Hotel - Nic & Sam’s wedding day

Nuthurst Grange Country House & Hotel - Nic & Sam’s wedding day

After having to postpone their wedding due to the dreaded C word, Nic & Sam finally got to have their amazing wedding day at Nuthurst Grange Country House & Hotel. With storm Arwen leaving us with what felt like a blizzard, Nic & Sam got to have a proper winter wedding with a dusting of snow on the gorgeous grounds of Nuthurst Grange.

Getting ready at Nuthurst Grange Country House & Hotel

Nic and her bridal party all stayed at Nuthurst Grange Country House & Hotel the night before the wedding. Nic was up til late decorating the table for the wedding reception, hats off to you Nic for creating gorgeous tables! Nic and her squad moved into a fab space above the ceremony room for you to get ready. The space was tasteful decorated and with plenty of room for you and all your squad to get read. It’s also handy for spying on your guests as they arrive which of course, Nic was doing.

Saying I DO at Nuthurst Grange Country House & Hotel

Nuthurst Grange Country House & Hotel has a beautiful barn style room for your ceremony. This room is lovely and intimate, with beautiful industrial style lights hanging from the ceiling. This was perfect for Nic & Sam’s moment to say I do. As I came down to the room, I could see straight away Sam was so excited to see Nic. When her saw her walk down the aisle, he was so blown away a tear came to his eye. I love seeing your emotions on your wedding day! Guys, it’s ok to cry on your wedding day! I think it’s such a beautiful thing to see, it shows your love for your partner! So don’t hold back, if you’re going to cry let it out, there’s nothing worse than a holding back the tears face, TRUST ME!

Strike a pose!

The weather on Saturday was bitterly cold! As well as thinking about creating the most gorgeous and fun photos for you to cherish, I also have to think of you guys! Luckily at Nuthurst Grange Country House & Hotel, there’s a cute little garden area just outside the barn you have your wedding reception. This meant I could be military action with the group shots and quickly send guests back in to warm up! I always capture a nice photo of you all together, but then throw in some fun too! If you can’t strike a pose with all your faves on your wedding day, when can you?!?

Baby, it’s cold outside at Nuthurst Grange Country House & Hotel

Nic was an absolute trooper and braved the cold weather for some gorgeous couple portraits. Nic always wanted a winter wedding, so finding some patches of snow for photos made this bride so happy. Nuthurst Grange Country House & Hotel has so many beautiful spots for outdoor couple portraits. I chose to keep it close to the party and use the garden space that was sheltered from the wintery elements. It’s so important to make sure you are comfortable when taking these photos as I want to capture you having fun and being relaxed with one another.

When the dads chip in for an extra special gift for the groom!

Nic & Sam’s speeches at Nuthurst Grange Country House & Hotel were so funny! Starting with Nic’s dad who was hilarious! Here you can see Sam being gifted his new set of wheels from the dads. Sam did well following his father in law and shared the funny but beautiful moment he first Nic. Then it was time for the groomsmen who were fab. I always think the best man’s speech must be so hard to write. You have to have the right amount of humility, embarrassing stories and sentimentality to the speech. Sam’s best men nailed it!

It’s now time to dance the night away at Nuthurst Grange Country House & Hotel

Nic & Sam’s guests had eaten their gorgeous meal at Nuthurst Grange Country House & Hotel; Sam & Nic had cut their wedding cake made by Nic’s best friend and bridesmaid so now it was time to party the night away. Back over in the barn at Nuthurst Grange Country House & Hotel, the drinks were flowing & the dance floor was filled with people busting out their best moves. I love capturing your guests letting loose on the dance floor, the pure fun and happiness I get capture make me so excited!

Sam & Nic truly had a magical winter wedding at Nuthurst Grange Country House & Hotel. I could see how special this day was for not only the newlyweds, but for all their friends and family. The once positive that has come from the past couple of years, is seeing how much your family and friends mean to you. The moments you see someone for the first time in years, I get to capture this and it’s so special!

Enough of my waffling. Here’s more from Sam & Nic Gorgeous wedding day!
